Agenda for Smart City project approved

The Punjab Government approved the agenda for the Jalandhar smart city project today.
In a video conferencing held by Chief Secretary Karan Avtar Singh and attended by Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma, Mayor Sunil Jyoti, Police Commissioner PK Sinha and Municipal Commissioner of the local civic body Gurpreet Singh Khehra, various decisions pertaining to the smart city project were taken.
The major ones included appointment for the chairman of the meeting, Chief Executive Officer and other key managerial personnel of the company.
Also, decisions were taken to fix the situation of the registered office of the company and toissue share certificates to first subscribers of the company.
The company will also apply for the income tax permanent account number (PAN) and the registration under different authorities.
The smart city company will also appointpractising company secretary as the secretarialconsultant.
