To boost the start-up culture in the city of Pune, the Pune Smart City Development Corporation (PSCDC) has rolled out another subsidiary, Pune Idea Factory Foundation (PIFF), which will give a single window solution to anything related to startups in the city. The Chief Minister of the state, Devendra Fadnavis is eager to turn Pune into a startup capital, and this step is a great leap for his dream, believes an expert. The municipal commissioner of Pune, Kunal Kumar, told a leading daily, that after studying the startup ecosystem of several cities they have created this system. Experts believe that the foundation of any smart city is created by boosting the lifestyle, by enhancing infrastructure and services, and by propelling the economy by creating jobs and sustainability. Pune now will be a brand and it will be used as an aggregator than an incubator.
